 A waiting move, but the only satisfactory one. Black must move his rook, but all moves allow mate:

1…Rf4 2.f3 mate

1…Rxf5 2.f4 mate

1…Rg3+ 2.fxg3 mate

1…Re3 2.fxe3 mate

1…Rh3 2.f3 mate

1…Rd3 2.Qb4 mate

 Note how all four legal first moves by the white pawn occur in the different variations. This theme is known in problem parlance as the Albino.
